A viral protocol promises maximum fat burning through perfect timing in the morning. We looked into what science says about it.

You may have come across the rule – on TikTok, YouTube, or in conversation over breakfast: the “30-30-30 rule”. It goes like this: 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up, followed by 30 minutes of light endurance training. The promise: fat melts away like no other protocol.

The idea originally comes from Tim Ferriss’ book The 4-Hour Body and was made viral by US biohacker Gary Brecka with millions of views. Time to ask: what’s really behind it? Three things stand out:
